Dr. Ivy Yu was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She earned degrees in both Pharmacy and Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, and has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. Dr. Ivy is happily married and has 2 beautiful children. When not attending to the needs of her beloved patients, Dr. Ivy enjoys walking, meditation, yoga, cooking and spending time with her family playing tennis, hiking, and biking.

ASSOCIATE DENTIST

Dr. Thilini Nanayakkara, known as Dr. Thili, is our dentist from New Zealand. She completed her training at the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2017. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a passion for oral surgery and endodontics. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys yoga, spending time her friends and family and travelling to new places for the hiking and food.

Bronwynne is the Registered Dental Hygienist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist at My Smile Health Centre. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 9 years. She loves being part of the team to help patients work towards complete health. When not at the office, Bronwynne likes to bring her dog Bo for a walk and hangout with her boyfriend . She often spends her time studying all things airways, sleep and OMT.

Nancy is the Certified Dental assistant at My smile Health Centre. She loves being part of the team, because she is able to assist Dr. Ivy in taking care of Patient’s complete health and at the same time building a bond with them. Outside of work Nancy enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking and binge watching good tv shows.

Julia has over 15 years of Customer Service/ Business Management experience. As a Team Leader / Treatment Co-Ordinator at My Smile Health Center. Julia will ensure each patient has a fully understanding of their treatment and will fit it into their lifestyle. Outside of work, Julia loves to spend quality time with her family and friends, explore new local restaurants and businesses, watch Netflix documentaries, pottery making and travels to Tropical Countries.

Haeun is the Registered Dental Hygienist ( RDH) at My Smile Health Centre. She is dedicated to actively engaging in patient education, helping individuals progress towards complete health. During her leisure time, she participates in activities that contribute to relaxation and personal well-being, such as binge-watching tv dramas and movies. Additionally, she maintains a healthy lifestyle by working out at the gym.

Dr. Ivy Yu will openly discuss all viable treatment options to our patients and help education our patients about their choices. Dr. Ivy Yu does not believe in recommending unnecessary work.

If there is any procedure we cannot perform in our office we are happy to refer patients to another specialist or healthcare provider in our professional network.
